French hydrogen energy company receives 172 million euros in EU subsidies
French hydrogen company HDF Energy recently opened the world’s first high-power fuel cell factory near Bordeaux, planning to start pre-production in 2025 and mass production in 2026 to help decarbonize heavy-duty transport vehicles such as freight locomotives and ships. The company confirmed that it had received up to 172 million euros in subsidies from the European Union and that the project had also been included in the EU's Important Projects of Common Interest (PIIEC) program.

European developer wins Egypt's $33 billion green hydrogen and ammonia project
On June 30, Egypt issued a statement saying that the Egyptian Sovereign Fund (TSFE) has signed four agreements worth $33 billion with European developers in the field of green ammonia. In addition to green ammonia, the Egyptian Sovereign Fund (TSFE) also signed an agreement with Orascom Construction, Fertiglobe and SCATEC to build a green hydrogen production project with an annual output of 13,000 tons and a total capacity of 100 megawatts.

Finnish company launches first large-scale 100% hydrogen fuel power plant
Finnish company Wärtsilä has launched the world’s first large-scale 100% hydrogen internal combustion engine power plant, which can be converted to run on 100% hydrogen using hydrogen internal combustion engines. According to the company, 100% hydrogen-fueled internal combustion engines are expected to be available for ordering starting in 2025, with deliveries beginning in 2026.

EU approves billions of dollars in aid for Germany's hydrogen network
Recently, the European Commission agreed to invest about 3 billion euros in Germany to build hydrogen infrastructure. The funds will be used to build long-distance pipelines to increase the use of climate-friendly hydrogen energy in industry and transportation.

Recently, Trina Solar, Spain’s Arbro Group and the Huelva Municipal Government jointly held a press conference in Huelva, Spain, officially announcing a strategic cooperation on a 160MW green hydrogen project. Tianhe Group will jointly invest with Arbro Group to develop a 160MW green hydrogen project in Huelva, covering an area of ​​more than 500 acres, and construction is expected to start at the end of 2025. The green hydrogen produced will be provided to the local chemical industry and eventually exported to Europe through the port of Huelva in the form of green alcohol and green ammonia.
